Now it is over 340. Looks great and meaningful.
I volunteered at www.DeafBlind Power.com booth for 3 days at 1st Annual International DeafBlind Expo in Las Vegas last week. It was a WORTH to set up booth there because it was really good to see my friends (former students at HKNC) and met new faces (former HKNC students). We now know we are not alone on this horrible experiences at HKNC. Go Go DeafBlind Power!
Thank you Nancy! You were awesome- the whole group was! SO much fun to work with you all!
I cannot sign the petition for obvious reasons. This may provide white-hot heat to HKNC to make it a culturally affirmative place for ALL DeafBlind consumers. I only have one concern about this petition. I want the grant money to go to an agency/organization that is committed to serving all 50 states and the territories. I am concerned that should the grant money go to an agency/organization that serves only a specific geographical region, the DeafBlind consumers not in the region served by the agency/organization will suffer from the loss of services. In other words, DeafBlind consumers from a region will benefit greatly but the DeafBlind consumers elsewhere in the USA will suffer. The best way to solve this would be to ask congress to dramatically increase the funds allocated for this specific purpose and require the RSA to make sure all geographical regions in the USA be covered by various agencies/organizations serving the various geographical regions.
Thank you for sharing. This feedback is really beneficial - all ideas and suggestions welcome!
Your welcome. I am making this feedback in the best interest of ALL the DeafBlind people in the USA. I would love to publicly announce who have been posting under no name. Maybe in due time, I will. Maybe not. It all depends.
Now 418!! WHOO!!!
